In the UK,
Clinical Dental Technicians or (CDTs)
are specially trained to provide dentures, including removable partial dentures, to a high professional standard. When a patient still has some natural teeth, UK regulations require that a dentist remains involved in the process. This ensures that your remaining teeth and overall oral health are suitable for denture treatment, and that nothing is overlooked.

What does this mean for you?
Before we can begin treatment, we need written confirmation from your dentist.

This is not a check on you or your choice — it is simply part of the professional framework that all dental clinicians follow. It helps protect your long-term dental health and supports safe, coordinated care.

You are welcome to download and take the referral letter provided below
to your dentist.

They will review the health of your remaining teeth and confirm that you can safely proceed with denture treatment under the care of a Clinical Dental Technician.

Once the dentist has signed the referral, your treatment can begin. When your denture is completed, a summary of your treatment will be returned to your dentist so that your dental records remain up to date.
